Rough-Skinned Newt - Taricha granulosa
________
Date: 25 October 2018
Location: Redwood forest in the alluvial flat, just south of Meadow Trail near the "Crossroads Log Pile."
Notes: First newt of the rainy season is a small male, about 4.5 inches / 11.5 cm total length. Skittish, too - I only managed one photo before he disappeared under the log.

________
Date: 26 October 2018
Location: Redwood forest in the alluvial flat, just south of Meadow Trail near the "Crossroads Log Pile."
Notes: Exact same location as yesterday; I believe this is the same newt. Scurried away under the same log.
